Technics SL-1210M5G Turntable

Since its introduction in 2003, many have called the SL-1210M5G the Grand Master of the 1200 line. In addition to the legendary Technics ruggedness and reliability, the SL-1210M5G boasts some killer one-of-a-kind features including an all-digital pitch control with a greater range, a specially constructed tone arm for improved skip resistance, an easy to adjust braking mechanism, and a black, brushed steel finish.

Note: This turntable requires a standard mount cartridge for operation - sold separately.

Technics SL-1210M5G Key Features

Exclusive Digital Pitch Control*
A totally digital pitch control means your adjustments stay true from deck to deck. The SL-1210M5G also sports a greater range than earlier models. Switch easily between ±8% and ±16%, and reset the pitch to 0 at the push of a button.
Improved Tone Arm Construction*
The improved tone arm is designed to increase skip resistance. Easy to adjust height settings and a built-in anti-skate adjustment of up to 6g make the SL-1210M5G great for scratching.
High Quality Sound From High Grade Cables*
Powerful bass and clear sound thanks to High Grade OFC (Oxygen Free Coil) tone arm cable and high-grade stereo PHONO cables.
Exclusive Long Lasting Blue Stylus Light*
Pop-up stylus illumination for use in low light environments such as DJ booth or studio control room. Allows you to view the stylus tip during play. Super long lasting blue LED pitch indicators and stylus illuminator are exclusive to the SL-1210M5G.
Stylus Kick Cancel and Anti-Skip*

Slip Pad and No-Hinge Dust Cover
A slip pad helps to protect your records from being damaged by the metal plate when they spin. And your player is protected by the no-hinge dust cover, which lets you easily perform freestyle, and then cover up your equipment when it's not in use.
Custom Brake Speed Control
It's simple to set the breaking speed to suit your liking with the SL-1210M5G. After removing the slip mat, all it takes is a few twists of a screwdriver to go from a slow winding down to an instant halt, or anywhere in between.
Technics Original Integral Rotor-Platter Quartz DD (Direct-Drive) Motor
Direct Drive turntables use Technics' original integral roto-platter Direct Drive motor for smooth, non-stop performance and unwavering quartz DD accuracy. This gives DJs the ability to spin records with quick starts, stops, and scratches, for the ultimate mixing experience.
High Torque
Technics' motor provides the ability for high torque starts, so your music is sure to start right on the beat. The 1210M5G's ultra-low-speed motor and high torque (1.5kg/cm) allow for super quick start-ups (0.7 sec) and stops.
Vibration Resistant Construction
A die-cast aluminum body, heavy rubber base, and a lack of unnecessary components or empty space allow the 1210M5G to absorb unwanted vibrations that could otherwise interfere with the sound.
Pitch Reset
Instantly reset pitch to zero at the touch of a button.
Highly Sensitive Low-Mass Tonearm
Universal S-shaped low-mass tonearm with gimbal suspension for accurate reproduction of records.
Recessed Power Control
Prevents the turntable from being shut off accidentally.
Unwavering Quartz DD Accuracy
Instead of just spinning the platter, the classic Technics Direct-Drive system actually incorporates it into the motor, reducing the number of parts that can malfunction and making consistent, accurate speeds possible. It's a system that has been providing fast start-up times and unequalled responsiveness for over thirty years.
