Perfect for taking dictation or recording a meeting's discussion, the Panasonic RR-US590 IC Recorder is also a digital music player, with 2 GB of built-in memory, MP3 stereo recording and playback and 330mW maximum output power. The RR-US590 can record up to 576 hours 10 minutes of audio in monaural SLP mode. Recorded audio segments can be organized into files. As many as 99 files can be created in each of four voice folders, for a total of 396 files. A separate Music Folder can hold up to 999 music files. A built-in zoom microphone enables you to clearly record distant voices and is just as useful for recording lectures and interviews thanks to a 3-position Recording Position Switch (Zoom, Wide, Manual). Built-in Zoom Microphone With Recording Position Switch (Zoom, Wide, Manual)

The built-in zoom mic enables you to clearly record distant voices and is useful for recording lectures and interviews. The Recording Position Switch allows you to select Zoom to capture a specific speaker in a larger venue, a lecturer for example. Wide allows you to capture multiple speakers, at a conference for example. A Manual setting is also available.

Stereo and Mono MP3 Recording and Playback

The RR-US590 features MP3 recording and playback in stereo or mono. You can enjoy music by transferring MP3 music files stored in the computer to the RR-US590. The Music folder can play a maximum of 999 files. Files other than files with MP3 format, such as WMA, AAC format files cannot be played. Copyright-protected MP3 music files cannot be played. MP3 music files with variable bit rate may be played, but the playback elapsed time display may differ from the actual time.

USB Mass Storage and USB 2.0 High-Speed Connection PC Link

After you record, you can transfer files to an compatible PC. The RR-US590 IC Recorder has a built-in USB port and included USB cable. This unit functions as a USB memory and is recognized as a computer's external storage device. Data files in the computer can be transferred and saved in this unit.

These models are not compatible with TRC/ADPCM format IC recorders made by Panasonic. Also, files recorded on this unit cannot be played on those IC recorders and/or cannot be read using Voice Editing software supplied with those IC recorders.

Security Function with Password

If you choose to set a password, password authentication is necessary when playing back this unit or connecting to a computer. When the unit is lost or stolen, the recorded data stored in this unit cannot be played or the computer does not recognize this unit as long as the password does not match.

This security function is only to limit a playback function for files by password, not by encryption. Panasonic does not guarantee any kind of loss in case your password gets discovered.

Digital VAS Function
