The Panasonic BL-C230A Network Camera can be placed virtually anywhere inside the home, with wired or wireless operation. Its high-speed wireless LAN capabilities include 802.11g only mode and 802.11g and 802.11b simultaneous mode. Also, the wireless LAN function can be suspended. Use of its built-in microphone enhances security by providing additional information that images cannot convey. And dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 protocol prepares it for IPv6 services.
Do you sometimes worry about things at home while you're at work or on vacation? Panasonic network cameras let you monitor your room over the Internet from wherever you are. They even let you pan, tilt and zoom the cameras by remote control. And you can choose the video format to match the Internet connection and your viewing needs. Let Panasonic network cameras keep an eye on things -- anytime, anywhere -- so you can relax and enjoy yourself.
Panasonic BL-C230A Key Features
- High Speed Wireless LAN Capability
- The Panasonic BL-C230A Network Camera corresponds to the wireless system based on IEEE 802.11b/g. Wireless installation will play an increasing role in flexible mounting. Encryption establishes the security on the wireless network. IEEE 802.11g has 2 modes: 1. the 802.11g only mode, and 2. the 802.11g and 802.11b simultaneous mode. Also, the wireless LAN function can be suspended. Communication via Ethernet cable is also available. It is not possible to access the camera simultaneously by both wired and wireless connection.
- Built-in Microphone For Audio Monitoring
- Sounds picked up by the built-in microphone can be heard through the PC. Video monitoring with sound enhances security by providing additional information that images cannot convey. The camera's built-in microphone monitors peripheral noise and when the camera detects noise exceeding this threshold it stores the image captured. This is a newly added function.
- Human Detection Heat and Motion Sensors
- The combination of a built-in human detection sensor that responds to heat and a motion detection function that responds to a preset camera threshold or sensitivity detects even slight motions. Captured images can be stored temporarily in the camera* or sent to you by e-mail** or FTP data transfer***.
- 3x Digital Zoom
- Equipped with a 3x digital zoom function, the camera lets you zoom in and out to view objects that are close or far away.
- Remote Pan/Tilt and Zoom Control
- The camera angle can be varied by remote control to monitor over wide areas. You can use the zoom function* to take a closer look at certain places.
- MPEG4 Video
- Provides smooth motion images even with limited network speeds or a smaller volume of image data.
- H.264/ACV Data Transmission
- The adoption of H.264/ACV has enabled reduction of data volume by more than 30% compared to MPEG-4 when transmitting data of the same image quality.
- Motion JPEG Video
- Motion JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images.
- Simultaneous MPEG-4 and JPEG
- Camera simultaneously sends MPEG-4 images and JPEG images. MPEG-4 is recommended for viewing smooth motion images, and JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images.
- TV Monitoring With Compatible Panasonic VIERA TVs
- The camera can be connected to a Panasonic VIERA TV and the image can be viewed on the TV's monitor. The camera can be operated through the TV's remote control, making it simple even for those not used to computers. This camera is compatible with the following Panasonic VIERA TVs (as of October 2009): G10 series, G15 series, V10 series, Z1 series.
- 3 Lux Color Night View Mode
- When the subject darkens, the camera automatically adjusts the brightness to show you the image. The Color Night View Mode brings the minimum light requirement down to 3 lux, letting you capture images even in dimly lit places.
- Privacy Mode
- When you return home, just press a button to cover the lens and protect your privacy. System administrators can also do this over the network.
- HTTPS Data Encryption Deters Electronic Eavesdropping
- IPv4 / IPv6 Dual-Stack
- Panasonic's new network cameras allow the use of a virtually unlimited number of IP addresses by supporting IPv6, a next-generation protocol. The IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack feature enables you to use IPv4 at the present and switch over to IPv6 in the future.
- Ethernet (10Base-T/100Base-TX) Network Interface
- 30 Frames Per Second Maximum 640 x 480 Video
- Cell Phone Monitoring
- Still images from the camera can be checked on a cell phone that is capable of normal web access and JPEG viewing. The pan and tilt functions can also be operated from the cell phone.
- Supports Viewnetcam.com Service
- Viewnetcam.com service allows you to access the camera over the Internet with your favorite domain name (e.g. bob.viewnetcam.com) instead of a global IP address.
- 4-Up, 9-Up and 16-Up Multi-Camera Page
- Multi-Camera page displays up to 16 cameras.
- Up To 10 Simultaneous Video Users
- Built-in Web Server / IP Address (IPv4 / IPv6)
- Password Protection
- Plug and Play Installation
- Multi-Language Interface
- 1 Year Warranty
