Using the VC-C50i, VB150 Network Camera Server and VK-64 Network Video Recording Software, security and remote monitoring professionals can now quickly and easily use a network-based high quality PTZ camera system (video over IP), which also allows them to record full motion video for sharing, archiving and image retrieval, simply by using their PC.

Genuine Canon Optics: 26X Optical Zoom Lens/12X Digital Zoom

The VC-C50i uses the same advanced optical technology that has made Canon a standard of excellence in digital video, making screening and identification in secure buildings extremely accurate. A Genuine Canon 26X optical zoom lens/12X digital zoom (312x combined) captures fine detail from far distances, making it possible to more effectively gather high-quality images.

Excellent Low-Light Performance

Security professionals require clear images even in dark environments, and now they can monitor dimly lit locations with Canon's VC-C50i Pan/Tilt/Zoom camera. The camera will capture clear color images in dim lighting all the way down to a single lux thanks to a highly-sensitive CCD, bright lens and slow shutter capability. Images are further enhanced with automatic noise reduction in both bright and dim light.

Night Imaging with Infrared Light

A Night Mode with built-in infrared light allows the camera to capture clear black and white images even in complete darkness. The built-in IR light is effective up to 9.8 feet, allowing security administrators to increase their viewing options in dark parking lots, at university campuses, hospitals, and warehouse facilities. An additional external infrared light can also be connected.

The VC-C50i comes equipped with a 1/4" CCD with 340,000 effective pixels, giving you an extraordinary level of detail.

Viewer-Controlled Pan, Tilt and Zoom

A wide range of on-screen controls, and a precision mechanism that minimizes shaking and vibration make it easy to adjust pan, tilt and zoom to the exact view you need. With a wide-ranging pan of +/-100 degrees and tilt of +90/-30 degrees, the VC-C50i can quickly survey entire office areas and warehouses, covering far more territory than fixed cameras. The reverse mount VC-C50iR features a pan of +/- 170 degrees and tilt of +10/-90 degrees.

Multiple Connector Interface

The Canon VC-C50i is easily adaptable to custom system configurations thanks to a new multi-connector interface. External devices including alarm sensors, infrared lamps and more connect with just one plug. It offers a BNC video output terminal, which ensures reliable video signal transmission, since the cable will be locked in place. In addition, the VC-C50i can be controlled locally on a computer through RS232C, while viewing on a video monitor, making it perfect for those who do not require IP based video.

Flexible Image Adjustment Controls

Canon's decades of photographic expertise give the camera a high degree of imaging control: automatic and manual exposure control, manual focusing, noise reduction, backlight compensation (3 steps), white balance and more.

Connect up to 9 Cameras
