Canon LV-7365 Multimedia Projector

Features in Detail | Recommended Accessories | Enlarged Image

The compact Canon LV-7365 multimedia projector delivers bright, high-quality XGA images, and provides users with a stellar blend of an extremely short throw distance, and a powerful yet versatile 1.6x Canon wide-angle zoom lens. The product of genuine Canon Optics, this seven-group projection lens provides greater flexibility in projector placement. The combination of the short throw distance and optical zoom of the LV-7365 projector adapts to many environments, which is an essential feature for classrooms, conference rooms of almost any size, and other situations that require bright, large-screen, high-fidelity images. The Canon LV-7365 LCD Projector can display a full 100-inch picture (measured diagonally) from only 9.2 feet away. Another benefit of the Canon LV-7365's Genuine Canon Optics are the new multi-layer coatings on its 1.6x projection zoom lens, which minimize internal reflection, flare and ghosting while also increasing contrast. Outputting a full 3000 ANSI Lumens with a contrast ratio of 500:1, the Canon LV-7365 Multimedia Projector displays bright, crisp, full-color images for maximum presentation impact.

Further enhancing the quality of the pictures from the Canon LV-7365 projector is its DVI-I interface, which provides an all-digital connection between the projector and digital input sources, such as DVD players and PC's. The DVI-I interface maintains high signal integrity and avoids the signal-conversion step required by an analog RGB interface. The DVI-I interface provides a clearer picture with no flickering, blurred lines, ghost images or coloration artifacts with text display, an important benefit when projecting spread sheets, technical diagrams or Web pages. Weighing only 7.3 lbs., the new Canon LV-7365 Multimedia Projector is a compact, highly portable, fully featured presentation solution.

The LV-7365 includes other advanced features usually found only on highend models. These user-friendly innovations are designed to assist teachers, business professionals, and others for whom presentations are not a primary occupation. Innovations include 5W Built-in Speakers, Quick Start/Quick Cooling, Enhanced Wall Color Correction, Flexible Image Settings, and an advanced (but simple-to-use) onscreen Control Panel, which is adjustable using buttons on the top of the Canon LV-7365 Multimedia Projector or with a wireless remote with matching icons.

Precision Canon 1.6X Wide Zoom Lens With Short Throw Distance
Whether it's precision lenses for photography, broadcast TV cameras, camcorders or projectors, the name Canon means unsurpassed optical quality, superior color and stunning clarity. The LV-7365 comes with a high-quality 1.6X zoom lens that is adjustable using a convenient slider control atop the projector housing. The unit's surprisingly short throw distance (the distance between the lens and the screen) permits extra-large, 100" images to be projected from only 9.2 feet away, maximizing visual impact in almost any environment from classrooms and small conference rooms to family rooms and dens. Another benefit of the Canon LV-7365's Genuine Canon Optics are the new multi-layer coatings on its lens, which minimize internal reflection, flare and ghosting while also increasing contrast.
Native XGA Resolution
Combine the brilliance of 2500 ANSI Lumens with the sharpness of Native XGA Resolution (1024 X 768 pixels), and you've got a projector with few equals. Whether you are projecting a movie, a presentation, or still images from your digital camera, your audience will be treated to crisp, life-like reproduction. Even display UXGA (1600 x 1200 pixels) and SXGA (1280 X 960 pixels) resolutions through advanced, high-quality compression.
3000 ANSI Lumens
The brighter the projector, the better you are able to deliver a quality image wherever you need to. At a brilliant 3000 ANSI Lumens, there aren't many Canon projectors brighter than the LV-7365. Whether it's your latest business presentation or the latest DVD release, this powerhouse gives you the brightness you need -- no matter what the lighting conditions.
500:1 Contrast Ratio
Be sure of sharp, vibrant images with the LV-7365's exceptional 500:1 Contrast Ratio.
DVI Input
The LV-7365 Multimedia Projector offers a host of features usually found only on far more expensive models. Such features include a high-speed DVI-I interface, which provides an all-digital connection between the LV-7365 Multimedia Projector and digital video or computer input sources. DVI-I maintains the integrity of the digital signal from source to screen, providing audiences with optimum quality. This means that there is no flickering, blurred lines, ghost images, or coloration problems with text display. The DVI-I interface includes a pixel clock to accurately reconstruct the timing of the digital signal.
Superior Connectivity
Other connections for the Canon LV-7365 projector include S-Video, Composite, Component (through the VGA terminal via an optional cable), VGA input terminal, one VGA output terminal (for connection to a computer monitor); and audio input and output.
Five Automatic Image Color Modes
Flexible Image Settings include five automatic image modes: Presentation, Video, Cinema, Standard, sRGB, each one designed for a different type of projection, and manual settings for each mode to create custom presets.
  • Standard mode gives you images closely resembling the original, with an emphasis on white areas
  • Presentation mode increases contrast between bright and dark areas, making it easier to see detailed diagrams and text
  • Video mode is for projecting standard video, such as TV broadcasts
  • sRGB mode is optimized for reproducing color adapted to the sRGB color space, which includes images produced by many digital cameras
  • Cinema mode is for projecting film-based video, such as movies (DVD or HDTV)
  • Custom mode allows users to modify gamma and other settings. Gamma adjustment is useful for images that are too dark or too bright
Quick Start and Quick Cooling
For faster set-up and breakdown of presentations, Canon's LV-7365 offers Quick Start (which allows the projector to be used in about eight seconds) and Quick Cooling (which cools down the projector in approximately 30 seconds, so the projector can be put away soon after the presentation ends).
Automatic Power-Off Timer
An automatic power-off timer lets users select any period between 30 minutes and eight hours, maximizing power management and energy efficiency.
Automatic and Manual Digital Keystone Adjustment
If the projector is not aligned properly with the screen (perpendicular to it), keystoning can occur. This will create a displayed image with trapezoidal shape (narrower at the bottom than top, for example). Thanks to the LV-7365's Automatic Digital Keystone Adjustment, you can be sure every presentation looks professional. Automatic Keystone Adjustment instantly corrects the image up to ±30 degrees vertically for those instances when the projector is not centered. The user can also adjust the keystone manually up to ±30 degrees.
Wall Color Correction
Wall Color Correction ensures colors are displayed accurately even when a projection screen is not available. Select from several wall color options including greenboard, greenboard gray, light yellow, light green, light blue, sky blue, light rose and pink for quick adaptive color correction. The image you project will be closer in appearance to how it would look when projected on a white background.
Long Lamp Life
The Long-Life Lamp feature can provide up to 3,000 hours of operation.
Quiet Operation: 29 dB (Quiet Mode)
With performance like this, you might expect to have to put up with a little fan noise. But not with the LV-7365. In Quiet Mode, it gives a brilliant performance while whispering along at an extremely quiet 29 dB. Your audience will hear every word of your presentation, and you'll hear every line of dialogue in your favorite movie.
Lightweight and Compact
Take the LV-7365 wherever you need a sharp, brilliant presentation -- to your office or on the road. Then, take it home with you and enjoy your favorite DVD or latest digital snapshots. Imagine all this power and XGA resolution in an ultra-portable projector. That's the LV-7365! At 7.3 pounds and a trim 12.2" x 4.3" x 10.4", you can take it wherever you need a brilliant performance.
