Replacing the 521PRO, the Manfrotto 521PROi is a compact remote control that is built onto a small clamp to suit a wide range of applications. The 521PROi is the top of the range of these Manfrotto compact remote controls. It uses the LANC protocol adopted by Sony and Canon Mini DV cameras. The 521PROi enables you to control power, recording, zoom and focus. The new firmware allows control of up to 16 zoom speeds and 8 focus speeds when used with Canon HD cameras. Like the 523PROi, the 521PROi features manual focus buttons and an auto focus button, allowing you to achieve in-focus images easily when working in manual focus mode.

It also has a progressive zoom speed (the further you rotate the zoom wheel, the faster the zoom), a fixed zoom speed (irrespective of the rotation applied to the wheel, zoom speed remains constant), or a customizable maximum speed, which you can set to exactly the level you want. To set a "custom" zoom speed, simply hold the zoom speed button until the LED flashes and use the wheel to record your speed. The LED shows you which speed you have selected.

Professional Zoom Wheel

The 521PROi uses a professional-type zoom "wheel" for finer adjustment and smoother progressions. Zoom wheel direction can be inverted (left - right or right - left). Wheel comfortably and naturally fits the hand to produce the smoothest zooms. Invertible for both zoom and focus.

522AV Adaptor Cable

Uses 2.5mm Mini Jack Connector

Only system with 2.5mm mini jack connector rather than built-in cable means the camera cable can be easily substituted, lengthened or shortened for different set-up requirements.

522AV Adaptor Cable For Sony AV-R Connector Included

Made for video cameras with the AV-R plug, the 522AV converts the possibility to connect to these type of cameras all the Manfrotto remote controls. This adaptor offers the standard LANC plug on one side and the AV-R connector on the other side. The length of the coiled cord cable is 7.8 inches (20cm).
