The 501HDV,745XBK is a complete kit consisting of the Manfrotto 745XB MDeVe Tripod, the 501HDV Pro Video Head and the MBAG80P Padded Tripod Bag. The Manfrotto 745XB MDeVe Tripod replaces Manfrotto's 745B MDeVe Tripod. The 501HDV replaces the popular Manfrotto 501 Pro Video Head. Inside the 501HDV is a powerful new feature that takes its inspiration from Manfrotto's top professional video head models -- a fixed counterbalance spring that helps ensure both smoother tilt movements and greater equipment safety even when tilt locks are inadvertently left off. The easy-to-reach on/off switch allows the counterbalance system to be disengaged or re-engaged for different filming setups.

Made entirely of aluminum, the Manfrotto 745XB MDeVe is a two-stage tripod specifically geared towards on-the-go videographers looking for a simple, straightforward and affordable tripod without sacrificing stability. With a maximum load capacity of 15.4 pounds, the Manfrotto 745XB video tripod is designed to handle payloads commonly associated with Mini DV or DVCAMs. An integrated 50mm leveling ball allows for quick set up with ±15° of leveling capability. The 745XB is ideal for travel, quickly folding up to a compact 25 inches and weighing only 5.3 pounds. For applications that demand full extension, the 745XB has a maximum working height of 55.1 inches. Four Different Leg Angle Settings

Four pre-set independent leg angles -- 23°, 45°, 65° and 88° -- give the tripod great positioning flexibility and versatility, and allow all intermediate heights from the stated minimum to maximum levels to be reached. Stability is assured at all four angles by the spring-loaded step mechanism. Each of the legs can be set to a different angle of spread for more flexible, versatile positioning and to help keep camera equipment well-balanced over the tripod's center of gravity. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism has been greatly improved.
