The 190XB,390RC2 is a complete kit consisting of the Manfrotto 190XB Tripod and the 390RC2 Three-Way Photo/Video Head. The Manfrotto 190XB Aluminum Tripod is built on the same ergonomically improved design as the 190XPROB but without the horizontal center column feature. The 190XB is slightly more compact than the 190XPROB. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks have been greatly improved.

Although created with the needs of the video cameraman in mind, the Manfrotto 390RC2 Three-Way Photo/Video Head is just as adept at supporting scopes, binoculars or still cameras with medium or long tele lenses. It is equipped with an RC2 (200PL-14) quick release camera plate system. The 200PL-14 quick release plate features a secondary safety catch and has 1/4" male thread. Head to tripod attachment is 3/8" female.

Wider leg angles also increase the tripod's stability in bad weather conditions or on uneven terrain. Each of the legs can be set to a different angle of spread for more flexible, versatile positioning and to help keep camera equipment well-balanced over the tripod's center of gravity. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism have been greatly improved.

Flip lever leg locks make opening, positioning and closing fast and easy, allowing you to quickly and quietly set the tripod into position. The tension of the locking mechanism is user-adjustable, and all parts can be easily serviced or replaced. The ergonomics of the quick action leg locks have also been greatly improved.

The Manfrotto 390RC2 Three-Way Photo/Video Head is designed to allow still photography or video application. It is equipped with a quick-release 200PL-14 camera plate system and Teflon pads to ensure smooth pan and tilt movements with independent locks. The pan-locking bar is padded with soft non-slip rubber. Although created with the needs of the video cameraman in mind, the 390RC2 is just as adept at supporting scopes, binoculars or still cameras with medium or long tele lenses.

RC2 Quick Release Camera Plate System

The 390RC2 is equipped with the compact, rectangular 200PL-14 quick release plate system. The 200PL-14 fits neatly under small-bodied still cameras up to SLR (even with tele lenses) or small medium format, or under small video cameras or spotting scopes. Its rubber pad gives a good grip without damaging the camera. This plate features a secondary security lock so you can't accidentally release the plate (and camera). The lock stops the quick release lever from opening fully.

The 200PL-14 camera plate makes this head most suitable for SLR camera systems. Camera attachment has 1/4-inch male thread. Head to tripod attachment is 3/8-inch female.
