The 055XPROB,410 is a complete kit consisting of the Manfrotto 055XPROB Black Pro Tripod and the 410 Junior Geared Head. The patented 055XPROB has a unique design which allows the center column to be used horizontally as an extending arm, or vertically (both right-way-up and upside-down). When used horizontally, it can be turned through a 360-degree arc around the tripod, and is useful for macro work, low angle shooting, extreme balance points and off-center work.

The Manfrotto 055XPROB Pro Tripod replaces Manfrotto's 3021PRO and 3021BPRO Pro Tripods. The 055XPROB makes the famous Manfrotto-patented horizontal center column feature even easier to use. By extending the column to its highest vertical position, it can be swung around to horizontal without removing the head or disassembling the column itself, so switching between framing and positioning setups is more convenient than ever. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks themselves have also been greatly improved.

Patented Manfrotto Horizontal Center Column Feature

The patented 055XPROB has a unique design which allows the center column to be used horizontally as an extending arm, or vertically (both right-way-up and upside-down). When used horizontally, it can be turned through a 360-degree arc around the tripod, and is useful for macro work, low angle shooting, extreme balance points and off-center work. The horizontal column feature also allows the tripod to reach extremely low positions. The 055XPROB's center column can be quickly and easily swung from vertical to horizontal without any disassembly.

Four Different Leg Angle Pre-sets

Four pre-set independent leg angles -- 23°, 45°, 65° and 88° -- give the tripod great positioning flexibility and versatility, and allow all intermediate heights from the stated minimum to maximum levels to be reached. Stability is assured at all four angles by the spring-loaded step mechanism. Each of the legs can be set to a different angle of spread for more flexible, versatile positioning and to help keep camera equipment well-balanced over the tripod's center of gravity. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism has been greatly improved compared to previous models.
