The KATA Pro-Light Beetle-282 PL is a low-profile, on-board backpack designed to provide the best traveling, carrying, storage and working solution. Lightweight and protective, it will cater to the smallest detail of a professional's working needs. The spring steel Spine Guard, encased in specially formed foam, combines with light yet durable RipStop fabrics and meshes, Aeriform Foams, Honeycomb Panels and Spider Webbing straps to create a protective yet light backpack. The fantastic modularity allows you to make the Beetle-282 PL even lighter by simply removing components that are not necessary for your current needs.

The backpack opens from behind, with the camera gear within secured by a full-zippered flap which also sports flat storage pockets. This flap can be fully or partially opened according to need. The main compartment will hold a large amount of gear, such as two or three Digital SLR camera bodies with four to six lenses (up to 300 mm), flash and many other photo accessories. Use the modular Aeriform Dividers to custom fit the bag to your exact gear needs and secure that gear all snugly in place. Along the back panel a full length, top-access, Elasto-Guard laptop pocket will hold up to a 17-inch laptop. Thanks to the rear opening and securing gear flap, it is possible to simply open the backpack and pass it through airport security scans without removing the laptop from it's compartment. Travel documents and personal effects can be stored in four flat external pockets along the sides.

The light, flexible and airy Aeriform camera strap can be used individually or interconnected to the two designated loops on the backpack harness, thus providing frontal carrying for your camera without having an additional strap around your neck.

Laptop Compartment

Along the back panel a full length, top-access, Elasto-Guard laptop pocket will hold up to a 17-inch laptop.

"Yelloop" Interior With Optional Modi-Vers Divider System

Like most KATA products, the Beetle-282 PL is constructed with their special "Yelloop" interior made of a loop fabric to which you can fasten dividers. The interior is a bright yellow, so the contents can be viewed with ease.

Included Tripod Holder

A small tripod can be attached to either the front or the side of the Beetle-282 PL with KATA's included tripod straps. The included tripod sling can be used as a docking base to secure the tripod.

Plenty of Storage for Accessories

Use the modular Aeriform Dividers and Cocoon Pouches to custom fit the main compartment's interior setup to your gear. The external top pocket and two side pockets will store personal effects such as phone, wallet, travel documents etc. These can also store small accessories you need rapid access too such as media cards, batteries or filters, while a flexible pocket on the other side will easily carry a water bottle.
