Palms are a functional breakthrough in the design of soft, reinforced cases. Their smooth and low outside profile facilitates storage and shipping. They are available in three sizes to permit the carrying of a large variety of accessories and sensitive equipment primarily used for lighting kits: lights and power supply in the main compartment, four stands in the side pockets. The Palms-2 is suitable for carrying a medium to large lighting kit.

A reinforced plate forms the base, on which are mounted the two halves of the case, each shaped like the palm of a hand. Based on the architectural principle of the arch, the Palms-2 provides your equipment with complete protection. An aluminum pole handle allows for balanced carrying even when the center of gravity changes. The case is supplied with the KATA's Insertrolley Detachable Trolley System. The interiors can be customized with Modi-Vers modular dividers, and APSS or NSS shoulder straps can be added (see Recommended Accessories).

There are two compartments on either side for stands or gels with mesh pockets that may be used to store cables, reserve bulbs and filters.

Insertrolley Included

The simple yet ingenious Insertrolley System can be used with many Kata cases. It allows you to either use the trolley separately or with more than one case. Simply slide the trolley through the sleeve on the cases for secure and easy mobility. You can detach the trolley when you want to store it and easily replace it if damaged. Patented extendable wheel system helps to better stabilize larger cases.

Adjustable Tail Trap Buckles

The TT Buckle is ergonomically designed for comfort and ease of use. When you push the "Tail" into the "Trap" you can adjust the closing of the bag as tight or loose as required. The buckle locks closed no matter how tight you choose to make it. The arched shape conforms to the body and the bag it serves. To open just push back the trap with your thumb.

Made from synthetic thermo-rubber, this uniquely designed feature absorbs shocks and protects the case from abrasion, dirt, mud and standing water.

"Yelloop" Interior With Optional Modi-Vers Divider System

Like most KATA products, the Palms-2 is constructed with their special "Yelloop" interior made of a loop fabric to which you can fasten dividers. The interior is a bright yellow, so the contents can be viewed with ease. If needed, optional dividers are available to enable you to create compartments inside the case that meet your exact requirements.

Dual-Purpose Buckle For Optional Shoulder Strap

The optional shoulder strap attaches to the bag via this rugged yet lightweight buckle, which accepts either a quick-release hook or the strap itself. Either option ensures that the strap will cross the shoulder at the optimal ergonomic angle to provide comfort and stability.
