This professional hand-held wireless mike is the same microphone with built-in transmitter that comes with the WHXPRO system, but does not come with a receiver. The WM/T-PRO can be used with the receiver from any "PRO" series kit, or the Azden WR-PRO Receiver, the Azden WDR-PRO True Diversity Wireless Receiver or the Azden WR22PRO 2-Channel Receiver.

The WM/T-PRO has a range of over 250 ft. and is great for interviews! Both the transmitter and antenna are built into the mike housing, therefore requiring no dangling wires or protruding antennae on the mike. A standby switch on the microphone allows you to pass it around without "touch" noise. A rubberized coating also reduces "touch" noise. Two VHF frequencies are available (169.445MHz and 170.245MHz). Uses "AA" battery (not included).

The incredible success of the PRO Series among professional videographers has prompted Azden to add 2 additional frequencies, 171.105 and 171.845, to the most popular professional models, the WR-PRO, WDR-PRO and WDR-PRO receivers and the associated WM/T-PRO, WM/T-PRO, and the WX/T-PRO transmitters. These additiional VHF frequencies will not interfere with Azden's long-established 169.445 and 170.245MHz models. If you wish to use the two new frequencies, order the WM/T-PRO(S) model. Please be sure your receiver is also the (S) model - WR-PRO(S), WDR-PRO(S), WR22-PRO(S). Please note that the PRO Series microphone/receiver complete kits only come in the two original frequencies. If you wish to use the WM/T-PRO with the receiver from one of these kits, please be sure to order the original WM/T PRO (not the S model).

Both the transmitter and antenna are built into the mike housing, therefore requiring no dangling wires or protruding antennae on the mike.

Frequency Selector Switch

The WM-PRO operates on the low-interference VHF band and has two switchable frequencies: (F1) and (F2). A small two-position switch on the back of the microphone in the battery compartment is used to select a frequency.

WM/T-PRO: F1 - 169.445MHz, F2 - 170.245MHz
WM/T-PRO(S): F1 - 171.105MHz, F2 - 171.845MHz

Three-Position Power Switch

The bottom position is OFF, the top position is ON, and the middle is STANDBY. In the STANDBY position the power is on but the microphone element is muted. This allows the microphone to be passed around noiselessly.

LED Signal Indicator

When both the receiver and transmitter are on and tuned to the same frequency, the LED will remain on, indicating that a signal is present between the units. The LED signal indicator displays in both ON and STANDBY power modes.
