The Azden IRN-10 replaces the Azden IRB-10. A lightweight, chest-worn microphone/transmitter, the IRN-10 comes with an adjustable lanyard. It is both a microphone and infrared transmitter which wirelessly links the teacher to the Azden IRR-30P, IRR-30 or IRR-15 infrared receiver. The Azden IRN-10 has a specially designed internal microphone array which provides great sound pick-up. With two switchable channels, a teacher can go from classroom to classroom with the same microphone! On just two AA batteries (alkaline or rechargeable) the microphone can be used the entire school day without recharging or changing batteries. The Azden HS-11 is a high quality uni-directional vocal headset/microphone.

The IRN-10 will work flawlessly with the installed Azden APS-IRII modular plug-in Infrared receivers, which also feature two on-board user selectable Infrared frequencies. To increase the working range of the system, an external sensor can be added. The included IRD-30 sensor is powered by the receiver and can be plugged into the external sensor input on the rear panel. With an external sensor attached, if the front panel sensor is blocked (perhaps in a secured cabinet or closet) the external sensor will still pick up the signal.

Two User-Installable Wireless Module Slots

Only the APS 25 offers you the ability to include VHF, UHF, or Infrared wireless microphone modules. And, you can use either one or two modules, initially or later on. So you can order the speaker in any number of configurations and add to it in the future. Since Azden offers a choice of 30 VHF frequency modules, their 63 channel user-selectable UHF modules, or Infrared wireless, you can have multiple systems in one venue without interference.

More Control, More Inputs, More Possibilities

The APS 25 includes a Master Volume control and Tone control to reduce feedback. Individual level controls for each of the four inputs -- two wireless, one wired mic level, and one line level -- giving you more ways to configure your system. The speaker's variable line level output lets you daisy chain multiple speakers. The high gain mic input shorts automatically to reduce noise when no mic is plugged in.

Infrared wireless microphone systems are the best solution for classrooms. In today's RF saturated world a VHF or UHF microphone system risks interference from a variety of other devices and sources. Cell phones, radios, TV, PA systems, police and emergency service systems, etc., can all interfere with VHF and UHF, but not with IR. Furthermore, infrared is perfect for classroom audio, since, unlike the other systems, IR is short-range, cannot penetrate walls, and is line-of-sight. This means that a school can have as many classrooms as desired with individual audio systems, without fear of interference. In addition, since each classroom system is on the same pair of channels, teachers can go from room to room without having to switch microphones.
