The integrated, high-power NiMH battery, combined with a modern international battery charger, provides long-lasting flash power for exacting demands. The NiMH battery supplies four times as much power as the NiCad battery shipped with previous models. Even greater power is available with the optional new high-performance Power Pack P 76, also equipped with NiMH battery technology. With the Power Pack P 76, recycling time can practically be halved, while nearly doubling the number of flashes.
When used in combination with the Metz 3002 Series SCA adapter system, the 76 MZ-5 digital supports the cutting-edge functions of digital cameras from Canon, Nikon and Konica/Minolta. In addition, the universal Metz SCA adapter system creates a decisive advantage: one and the same flash unit can be used with the cameras of a very wide range of established manufacturers! The vertical and horizontal tilt and swivel capability of the 76 MZ-5 digital's reflector can be exploited for bounce flash. All settings of the logically structured menu controls can be made directly on the unit, with an extended lock function to prevent accidental adjustments of fixed settings. The 76 MZ-5 digital is equipped with a large illuminated dot matrix LCD display.
